Education CS-Julius Migos Ogamba

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba will on Friday, July 10, embark on an official tour of Kisii County to commission several newly completed school infrastructure projects, aimed at expanding access to quality education.

According to the programme, the CS will preside over the opening of facilities in four institutions across two constituencies, all constructed under the national school infrastructure development initiative.

His first stop will be at Hema Comprehensive School and Hema Senior School in Chitago, Nyaribari Masaba Constituency, where he is expected to unveil new learning facilities designed to improve the environment for pupils and students.

Ogamba will later proceed to Nyakeiri Senior School and Tambacha Senior School in Kitutu Chache North Constituency to commission additional projects aimed at expanding classroom capacity and strengthening educational infrastructure.

The visit is expected to reaffirm the government’s resolve to invest in modern school facilities as part of ongoing reforms to support the Competency‑Based Education (CBE) system and address rising enrolment in public institutions.

In recent months, the Ministry of Education has intensified the rollout of infrastructure projects nationwide, including classrooms, laboratories, dormitories, and other essential facilities, to create a more conducive learning environment.

Ogamba’s tour highlights the government’s broader agenda of aligning education reforms with improved learning outcomes, ensuring schools are adequately equipped to meet the demands of the new curriculum.
