Panic gripped Nyamache Boys High School in Bobasi Constituency on Tuesday evening after a fire broke out within the school compound.
The cause of the fire had not been established by the time of publication.
Witnesses said thick smoke billowed from the school as teachers, students and residents rushed to the scene in an effort to contain the blaze.
Second school fire in two days
The incident comes barely a day after a fire destroyed a dormitory at Nduru Boys High School in neighbouring South Mugirango Constituency.
Two students who inhaled smoke during the Nduru Boys incident were admitted to Nduru Level Hospital, where they received treatment.
By the time of publication, the administration of Nyamache Boys High School had not issued an official statement regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
Authorities are expected to investigate the incident as concern grows over the recent spate of school fires in the region.
