  • According to the organizers, the homecoming and thanksgiving service has been organized to thank God for the successful election of Ronoh to the branch leadership position and to dedicate his tenure to divine guidance and wisdom.

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Bomet Branch is set to hold a major thanksgiving and dedication ceremony on July 18, 2026, in honor of its newly elected Treasurer, Peter K. Arap Ronoh.

The event, which will take place at Kembu Day School in Bomet East sub county, is expected to bring together KNUT Branch Executive Secretaries, teachers, education stakeholders, religious leaders, friends and well-wishers from across the country in a celebration of leadership, service, and faith.

According to the organizers, the homecoming and thanksgiving service has been organized to thank God for the successful election of Ronoh to the branch leadership position and to dedicate his tenure to divine guidance and wisdom.

The ceremony will also provide an opportunity for members of the teaching fraternity to reflect on the role of servant leadership in advancing the welfare of teachers and strengthening the education sector.

The event will feature renowned cleric Rev. Etyet as the guest speaker, while KNUT Secretary General Collins Henry Oyuu is expected to grace the occasion as the chief guest. Their presence is anticipated to underscore the significance of the event within the union’s leadership structures.

Speaking ahead of the ceremony, organizers said the thanksgiving service is not only a celebration of an individual achievement but also a recognition of the confidence teachers have placed in Ronoh to represent their interests and contribute to the growth of the union.

The gathering is expected to include prayers, worship, fellowship and messages of encouragement as participants seek God’s blessings upon the KNUT Bomet Branch Treasurer.

Organizers have invited teachers, colleagues, friends and members of the public to attend and join in the celebrations.

The event will be held under the biblical theme drawn from Matthew 16:18: “And on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Organizers expressed optimism that the occasion will strengthen unity among educators and inspire dedicated service to the teaching profession.
