The University of Nairobi has celebrated the promotion of Prof Stephen Luketero to the rank of Full Professor of Pure Mathematics, describing the achievement as a significant milestone in his distinguished academic career.
In a congratulatory message shared on its official Facebook page, the university praised Prof Luketero for his contribution to scholarship and research.
“The celebration continues! Join us and help us celebrate Prof. Stephen Luketero in his achievement as full professor of Pure Mathematics,” the university posted.
The institution also invited members of the university community and the public to congratulate the mathematician, adding:
“Wapi kongole za Professor Luketero?”
The promotion to full professor is the highest academic rank in Kenyan universities and is awarded to scholars who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, scholarly publications, innovation, mentorship and service to the university and society.
