  • Nakuru County schools are set for 2026 KSSSA pooling games from July 1 to July 3 at Njoro Boys High School.
  • The three-day competition will bring together secondary schools from across Nakuru County to battle for county honours and qualification to the next stage in football, volleyball, netball, basketball 3×3 and rugby sevens.

The stage is set for the 2026 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Nakuru county Pooling Games, which will be held from July 1 to July 3 at Njoro Boys High School.

The three-day competition will bring together secondary schools from across Nakuru County to battle for county honours and qualification to the next stage in football, volleyball, netball, basketball 3×3 and rugby sevens.

In boys’ football, traditional powerhouses including Koelel High School, Kenyatta Boys High School and St Francis Secondary School will be seeking to secure top positions in their respective pools as they chase a place in the knockout stages.

The girls’ football category is also expected to produce thrilling encounters, with schools such as Mother Mercy Girls School, St Joseph’s Girls School and Kabazi Secondary School among the teams expected to challenge for county supremacy.

Volleyball enthusiasts will be treated to exciting matches as defending contenders and emerging teams clash in both boys’ and girls’ categories.

Schools such as Koelel High School, St Francis Secondary School and Nakuru Girls High School are among those expected to attract attention.

Netball competition is expected to be highly competitive, with Moi Forces Academy, St Joseph’s Girls School and Nakuru Girls High School looking to book places in the next round.

The basketball 3×3 and rugby 7s categories have also attracted a strong field of participants. Teams from Kirobon Boys, Kabazi, Menengai, Moi Senior and Naivasha Day will be among those aiming to impress in the fast-paced competitions.

County sports officials have expressed confidence that the games will provide a platform for identifying and nurturing young talent while promoting discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship among learners.

The pooling games are expected to attract hundreds of student-athletes, teachers, coaches and sports enthusiasts from across the county, with successful teams advancing to the next level of the KSSSA championships.
