The race to secure places at the 2026 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Term Two Games has intensified following the release of dates and venues for the regional championships across the country.
The regional competitions, which will bring together county champions in various disciplines, are scheduled to take place between July 6 and July 22, with schools battling for coveted national qualification slots.
The National Term Two Games are expected to be held later in July in Kiambu County.
In the Rift Valley Region, the games will be hosted at Narok High School from July 6 to 11.

Western Region teams will converge at Bungoma High School from July 7 to 11, while Nyanza Region matches will be staged at Homa Bay High School over the same period.
Eastern Region competitions will be held at Makueni High School from July 8 to 11, while Central Region schools will compete at M-PESA Foundation Academy from July 9 to 11.
The Coast Region championships are scheduled for Kwale High School from July 8 to 11.
In Nairobi, schools will battle for national qualification at Jamhuri High School from July 7 to 11, while the North Eastern Region games will be held in Tabata, Mandera, from July 20 to 22.
Battle for national qualification
The championships are expected to attract thousands of student-athletes competing in football, volleyball, netball, rugby sevens, basketball 3×3 and indoor games, among other disciplines.
The winners and top-performing teams from each region will advance to the national championships, widely regarded as the country’s most competitive and closely followed secondary school sports event.
With regional bragging rights and national qualification at stake, schools across Kenya are intensifying preparations as the countdown to the 2026 KSSSA Term Two Games enters its final stretch.
Coaches and players are expected to use the remaining weeks to fine-tune their preparations as they seek regional honours and a chance to compete on the national stage.
