The County Government of Kakamega has continued the distribution of county bursaries to beneficiaries in Malava Sub-County, reaffirming its commitment to supporting education and easing the financial burden on parents.
A total of Ksh16,792,000 was disbursed to schools across the seven wards in Malava during the exercise.
Representing Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Sports, Gender and Culture, CPA Jackline Masicha, issued bursary cheques to school principals and students, a move expected to ensure uninterrupted learning for beneficiaries.
CPA Masicha assured residents that the county government remains committed to ensuring all bursary beneficiaries receive their allocations promptly and efficiently.
“All eligible beneficiaries will receive their bursary funds in good time as the county continues prioritising education as a key pillar for empowerment and sustainable development,” she said.
The exercise brought together ward administrators and community area administrators from all the seven wards in Malava Sub-County to ensure transparency and inclusivity in the distribution process.
