Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has officially launched the Bukembe West Ward Resource Centre in Kanduyi Constituency, a transformative community project funded by the County Government through the Community Empowerment Fund (CEF).

The modern facility, located at Ndengelwa Market, is equipped with internet connectivity, a library, an ICT section, and other essential amenities. It is expected to serve as a key hub for learning, innovation, business development, and community engagement within Bukembe West Ward and neighbouring areas.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Lusaka described the centre as a significant milestone in the county’s development agenda aimed at empowering communities through technology, knowledge, and access to opportunities.

“This Resource Centre marks the beginning of a new chapter of growth and empowerment for the people of Bukembe West. By investing in digital infrastructure and learning facilities, we are creating opportunities for our youth, supporting innovation, and strengthening community development,” said Lusaka.

He noted that the facility will help bridge the digital divide by giving residents access to information, online services, educational materials, and technological skills necessary to compete in the modern economy.

The governor further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to rolling out development projects across the county to improve livelihoods and enhance service delivery at the grassroots level.

Residents and local leaders, led by Bukembe West MCA Antony Lusenaka, welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and beneficial to students, youth groups, entrepreneurs, and the wider community through expanded access to educational and digital resources.
