Construction of Bomet High School progresses steadily as residents laud pace, quality

Residents of Bomet Central Constituency have expressed satisfaction with the steady progress and quality of work on the construction of Bomet High School.

Construction of Bomet High School is progressing steadily, with residents expressing satisfaction over the pace and quality of work.

The project, which is being overseen by the Tenwek High School Board of Management in collaboration with Bomet Central MP Richard Kilel, is a National Government initiative funded through the State Department for Basic Education.

Residents have lauded the development, terming it a clear indication of committed leadership and effective service delivery in the area.

“This project is a testament to the commitment and leadership of our MP. We are seeing tangible results on the ground,” said one resident.

They noted that, unlike many other counties, Bomet has long lacked a town-based secondary school, expressing hope that the project will be completed within the set timelines.

“We have waited for a long time to have a town school in Bomet. We appeal for the speeding up of this project so our children can benefit as soon as possible,” another resident added.

The school, which is expected to be completed by August 2026, aims to expand access to secondary education in Bomet Central Constituency.

Funded through a KSh 50 million allocation by President William Ruto, the project includes the construction of classrooms, laboratories and administrative blocks.
