The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has announced the opening of applications for 31 courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), targeting students interested in health sciences and related fields.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, April 21, KUCCPS said the available programs include both certificate and diploma courses for an immediate intake.
The placement body encouraged prospective applicants to take advantage of the opportunity, noting that the programs are designed to equip learners with essential skills in various medical disciplines.
“Interested in medical courses? Good news! KUCCPS and Kenya Medical Training College are giving you a chance to apply for diploma and certificate KMTC programs for immediate intake,” the statement read.
The application window is open to both first-time applicants and candidates who were not placed in previous KMTC admission rounds. Successful applicants will join the college in May 2026 and will undergo a short bridging course to help them catch up with ongoing classes.

Applications will remain open for two weeks, with the deadline set for May 6, 2026. KUCCPS has advised all interested candidates to submit their applications through its official student portal.
The courses on offer span a wide range of medical and public health fields. Certificate programs include Community Health Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Health Insurance Management, Health Records and Information Technology, Medical Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, and Public Health.
At the diploma level, applicants can choose from programs such as Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Community Health, Community Oral Health, Dental Technology, Emergency Medical Technology, Health Counseling, Health Promotion, and Health Records and Information Technology.
Additional diploma courses include Medical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Social Work, Mortuary Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Orthopedic Technology, Orthopedic and Trauma Medicine, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Radiography and Imaging, and Speech and Language Therapy.
