Police have launched investigations into an incident in which a university student was found dead in a suspected case of suicide at a hostel in Gataka, Kajiado North, Kajiado County.
Reports indicate that the deceased, identified as Bigonia Mutanu Maluki, 19, was a law student at a university in the area.
According to police records, her roommate returned to their hostel and discovered her body hanging from a roof beam, with a curtain sheet tied around her neck.
This incident follows a similar tragic case at Moi University in Eldoret, where Reginah Wanjiku, 20, a second-year law student, was found dead on March 25.

Her body was discovered hanging on the door grill of her rented house at Annex Shopping Centre in the Sugunanga area.
Investigators reported that she used a piece of cloth to take her own life and left a note expressing love for everyone and regret for her decision.
Police say the exact circumstances surrounding both incidents remain unclear as investigations continue.
