Former Makueni Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) chairman Julius Mutwii has expressed optimism that the arrival of I&M bank in Wote town, Makueni County will catalyze financial inclusion, stimulate local entrepreneurship as well as empowering residents access credit facilities thus rise of economic prospects.
Speaking when he presided over the official opening of the Wote branch, Mutwii called upon management to always prioritizing to support local businesses tailor financial products.

“I am extending my warm welcome to the new baby in town, my request is make sure your focus is to win big from the locality, make sure you foster partnership with the local organizations both private and public. This will help the bank yield tangible benefits to the regions development,” Mutwii said
He also lauded the bank’s decision to establish a presence in Makueni as a testament to the region’s burgeoning economic potential.
Makueni becomes the 27th County the bank is operating in, the former unionist noted that this is due to the County’s state of a fast growing urban centre presenting string banking potential driven by very vibrant MSME sector due to expansion of it’s agro-value chains especially mango industry.
