St Anthony to face St Albert Kamito in Rift Valley boys’ hockey final

St Anthony Boys High School, Kitale and St Albert Kamito Boys High School have secured their places in the Rift Valley Secondary School Term One finals after commanding semi-final victories at Nakuru Boys High School, setting up a highly anticipated clash.

2025 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national runners-up St Anthony Boys High School, Kitale, will face St Albert Kamito Boys High School in the final of the Rift Valley Secondary School term one games after impressive semi-final victories at Nakuru Boys High School.

St Anthony from Trans Nzoia County stormed into the final with a dominant 4-0 triumph over Serem Secondary School of Nandi County.

The Kitale-based side dictated play throughout the match, combining solid defence with sharp attacking moves to comfortably seal their place in the championship clash.

In the other semi-final, St Albert Kamito from West Pokot County stunned former national champions Narok Boys High School 2-0.

Kamito capitalised on crucial scoring opportunities in each half, displaying tactical discipline and resilience to book a historic spot in the final.

The boys’ third-place playoff will see Narok Boys take on Serem Secondary as both teams seek to end their campaign on a positive note.

Girls’ final

In the girls’ category, St Joseph’s Girls High School, Kitale delivered a masterclass performance, thrashing Singore Girls High School from Elgeyo-Marakwet county 8- 0 in a one-sided semi-final encounter. Their attacking prowess and teamwork were evident from the outset.

They will now meet St Mary’s Girls, Tachasis of Nandi County, who secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Tengecha Girls High School from Kericho County.

Singore Girls will battle Tengecha in the third-place playoff as the regional hockey showdown reaches its climax under the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association banner.
