Hockey semi-finals stage set as top schools battle for Rift Valley glory in Nakuru

The stage is set for thrilling semi-final clashes after an action-packed day of hockey quarter-finals in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. The last four teams will face off at Nakuru Boys High School with a place in the finals at stake.

In boys’ category, tournament favourites St Anthony’s Boys High School sent a strong warning with a ruthless 12-0 victory over Kipsoen in the quarterfinals. Their clinical attack and structured play make them a formidable force heading into the semi-finals.

They will meet Serem Boys High School, who secured a solid 3-0 win against Kericho High school, to book their place in the last four.

In the other quarter-final, Kamito Secondary School stunned Nakuru with a 2-0 triumph, showcasing tactical discipline and sharp counterattacks. They will face former national champions Narok High School, who sealed a convincing 2-0 win over Emining to advance.

In the girls’ competition, St Joseph’s Girls High School delivered the most dominant display of the day, hammering Ole Tipis 11-0 to underline their title ambitions.

They are set to clash with Singore Girls High School, who registered a confident 3-0 victory to progress.

Meanwhile, Tengecha Girls High School defeated Baraka 2-0 in a composed performance, setting up a semi-final showdown with Tachasisi Girls Secondary School, who edged Ndururumo 1-0 in a tightly contested encounter.

With dominant wins and hard-fought victories shaping the semi-final lineup, fans can expect high-intensity action as the best school teams battle for supremacy in Nakuru County
