St Mary’s Nai Boys senior school in Trans Nzoia County has made a strategy to claim its lost glory and shine again in the national exams, setting 7.0 target in the upcoming 2026 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
This comes after the school post impressive results in the 2025 KCSE with a booming 6.0 mean score up from 3.0, an improvement seen after three years.
The school’s principal Wycliffe Ekiring attributed the positive move to the collective efforts among teachers and the school’s stakeholders towards putting the institution in its original position.
He further averred that the fear of God, hard work and commitment across all divides made success a reality. “There is nothing that beats God’s plans. He is the author of everything and I thank my teachers for being selfless towards revamping the school academically,” Ekiring said during Grade 10 orientation in the school.

The principal, however noted that the school has been on bad books academically for the past three years, making student and teacher population to reduce drastically.
“What remained was just superb infrastructure without students and teachers but now, that is a gone story.” He said
“Our scars will be changed to become stars only if we work towards a common goal,” Ekiring added.
The area Member of Parliament congratulated the stakeholders for working tirelessly towards waking the sleeping giant.
The MP promised to support the school towards renovating of already established structures in readiness of the institution to claim being academic excellence centre in the region.
