New appointments affect Wote TTI, Nyandarua National Polytechnic, Nyeri National Polytechnic and other technical institutions.

The Ministry of Education (MoE), through the State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET), has announced a series of leadership changes across several technical training institutions following the retirement and redeployment of principals.

At Wote Technical Training Institute (Wote TTI), long-serving principal Joshua Munyoki has retired after many years of service. He has been replaced by Felix Mung’atu, who previously served as the principal of Nyandarua National Polytechnic.

Following Mung’atu’s transfer, Nyandarua National Polytechnic will now be headed by Dr Jane Gitau, who previously served as deputy principal at Kiambu National Polytechnic.

In Mombasa, Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute (ASMTTI) has also witnessed a leadership transition. The institution’s principal, Mrs Hafsa Saif, has retired and has been replaced by John Musembi. Musembi had been serving as the acting principal at Ikutha Technical and Vocational College.

Meanwhile, Catherine Venela, who served as deputy principal at Ikutha Technical Training College, has been promoted to principal.

In Nyeri, former Nyeri National Polytechnic principal David Mwangi, who was due for retirement, has taken up a position with the Nyeri County Government. He has been replaced by Rachel Kimani, who previously served as principal at Murang’a Technical Training Institute.
