A family from Ichuni, Boikang’a in South Mugirango, Kisii County is in shock after their two-year-old child tragically died after falling into a family water tank.
According to the reports, the parents left the two older children to take care of their young one as they attend to their farm chores.
However, the two later left behind their young sibling who fatally tripped into water tank as he tries to followed them.
The kid, who has been identified as Kevin Obara, drowned to death, leaving his two siblings terrified.
His body was later moved to Tabaka Mission Hospital Mortuary for postmortem as the police launch investigation on the cause of the death.

Kisii County Executive Secretary to the County Assembly Ronald Nyakweba confirmed the death and condoled with the family and urging parents to take care of their children especially during rainy season.
He cautioned them against leaving their children unguarded especially at this time of heavy rainfall in the region.
The death in the area comes only two weeks after a mother allegedly poisoned her two children and ran away from their home for unknown reasons.
