The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially invited applications for the Diploma in Law (Paralegal Studies) at the Kenya School of Law, with the deadline set for March 9, 2026.

The programme, scheduled for the May 2026 intake, is designed to provide structured paralegal training and equip learners with practical skills to support lawyers, courts, law firms, and corporate legal departments.

Applicants must meet minimum entry requirements, including a C (Plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and a C+ (Plus) in English or Kiswahili. The benchmark is intended to ensure competency in legal language and communication, a critical foundation for professional practice.

The Diploma will be offered at both the Karen Campus and the Town Campus in Nairobi. Students will have the option of day classes conducted in person or evening classes delivered virtually, providing flexibility for those balancing studies with work or other commitments.

Legal practitioners note that paralegals play a vital role in facilitating access to justice, particularly in areas such as land disputes, family law, tenancy matters, and human rights cases.

While paralegals are not fully regulated as advocates by the Law Society of Kenya, certified graduates are increasingly recognized by civil society organizations, legal aid clinics, and government agencies.
