The Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) Nyamache Sub-branch Chairman John Ochieng has congratulated teachers from the area for conducting a peacefully Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Kisii County elections.
He asked the newly elected team led by Executive Secretary Abel Kinyanchui to take the mantle and start reorganizing the office for a vibrant representation of teachers’ interests.
Ochieng praised the teachers for their maturity and commitment to the democratic process, saying their peaceful conduct was a testament to their professionalism.
He urged the new team to prioritize addressing teachers’ welfare and concerns, working closely with stakeholders to enhance education quality in the county.

During the hotly contested exercise, the old team was swept to pave way for the new regime. Ochieng appealed to all teachers to forget their differences which might have emerged during the elections, join hands and forge forward for the betterment of education from the region.
“Let’s put our differences aside and work together for the sake of our profession and the future of our students,” he said.
The newly elected team is set to serve a five-year term, focusing on promoting teachers’ rights and improving the education sector.
