Tension is mounting in Kongasis Ward, Chepalungu Sub‑county, Bomet, after a Form Three student disappeared under unclear circumstances, prompting her family and local authorities to appeal for public assistance.
The missing girl, Emmaculate Chepkorir, a student at Chebanyiny Secondary School, was last seen on Monday, December 28, 2025. According to her parents, she left home and never returned, raising fears for her safety.
Emmaculate, daughter of Wesley Koech and Tabitha Koech of Kap Mosonik, Nyatembe Village, has not been traced despite ongoing efforts. Her disappearance has left the family distraught as search operations continue.
At the time she went missing, she was dressed in a black skirt, a light green and white Arsenal “Emirates” T‑shirt, and light green sandals. The family hopes these details will help members of the public identify her.

Community members, relatives, and local leaders have joined the search, while police confirmed the matter has been reported and investigations are underway. Authorities say they are following up on leads provided by residents.
Speaking to the media, her mother, Tabitha Koech, made an emotional appeal for help. “We are appealing to anyone who has seen Emmaculate or knows where she might be to report to the nearest police station or contact us. We are deeply worried and just want our child back home safely,” she said.
The family has urged anyone with information, however small, to reach out to Tabitha Koech on 0793 933 059 or report to the nearest police station.
Police have reiterated the importance of timely information, stressing that public cooperation is crucial in cases involving missing children. Community members have also been encouraged to share the information widely to increase the chances of locating the student.
