The sudden movement of principals has raised concern within school communities, with some parents and teachers expressing fears that the changes could disrupt academic programmes, ongoing development projects and school management systems.

In several institutions, principals being transferred have served for years and were in the middle of implementing long-term academic and infrastructural plans.

According to education officials, the transfers are part of routine administrative measures by the TSC aimed at balancing leadership, enhancing accountability and improving performance in public schools.

Such reshuffles are also intended to curb complacency and promote the sharing of best management practices across institutions.

The Teachers Service Commission is yet to issue an official statement detailing the full list of affected principals, their new stations and the reporting timelines.

Meanwhile, schools are expected to conduct smooth handover processes to ensure learning continues uninterrupted as new principals prepare to assume office.
