Police officers attached to Emali Police Station responded swiftly to the scene, recorded details of the crime, and later transferred the body to Kilome Nursing Home Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Her husband, who was at the homestead during the fatal assault, was taken into custody to aid detectives with ongoing investigations.
Shaken residents said the deceased principal as a diligent and committed leader who dedicated herself entirely to her profession and the wider community.
