The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has announced a change in the date for its planned Teacher Leaders’ visit to Statehouse, moving it from Friday, September 12, to Saturday, September 13, 2025.
The union, in a circular to all its Executive Secretaries, stated that while the date has shifted, all other arrangements for the high-profile engagement will remain unchanged.
The Secretary General, Collins Henry Oyuu, indicated that some branches might be required to adjust their numbers upwards for the event. KNUT expressed regret for any inconvenience the change might cause to participants.

The visit, initially scheduled to bring together teacher leaders from across the country, is part of KNUT’s ongoing engagement with government officials to discuss key issues affecting educators.
All KNUT Branch Chairmen and Treasurers, as well as the National Chairman and National Treasurer, were copied in the circular, ensuring all levels of the union are informed of the revised schedule.
