Kisumu Day High School welcomes new senior principal

Kisumu Day High School on August 16, officially completed the handover process to its new Senior Principal, Rabet Abidha, who takes over from Daniel Mwaturo who served the institution with distinction for eight years before proceeding on retirement.

The ceremony was attended by, Dr. Joshua Komolo – Deputy Principal, Administration, Bob Ngoyi – Deputy Principal, Academics and Aim Charles Kyambi – PTA Chairman, Kisumu Day High School

Abidha brings a proven record of excellence in both academic leadership and co-curricular development.

As a former hockey coach at Kereri Girls, he guided the school to notable achievements. He also served as Principal of Ugari High School, Migori’s soccer heavyweights, where the girls’ soccer team reached the Nationals in 2019 held in Kisumu after being crowned Nyanza champions.

Later, at Kudho Secondary School, he oversaw significant academic improvement and consistent qualifications for regional competitions. This year, Kudho’s girls’ soccer team reached the Nyanza Regionals.

A former captain of the Kenyatta University soccer team, Abidha is a passionate sports enthusiast dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting holistic student development. His appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter in the school’s pursuit of academic excellence and co-curricular success.
