KUPPET Makueni calls on NEB to address unexpected deductions on teachers’ salary

Kenya Post primary Education Teachers, KUPPET Makueni branch has called on the union’s National Executive Board, (NEB) to investigate immediately address the unexpected salary deduction.

In a letter written to his colleagues, Kimeu expressed his profound shock and concern over the unexpected deductions titled KUPPET SWAL that appeared on the pay slips causing outrage and confusion among members.

“As your Executive Secretary of KUPPET Makueni branch, I am equally shocked by this development. We were neither consulted nor informed about this deduction, and its presence raises serious questions,” Kimeu said.

He revealed that he has formally appealed to the National Executive Board (NEB) to investigate the matter with urgency and provide a clear, timely response.

He called for accountability and transparency in any financial activity that affects the teachers. “NEB must demand for a stop and immediate refund of all what was deducted,” Kimeu said.

Apparently in the meantime, he urged all members to remain calm and patient. Assuring them that the issue is being pursued vigorously, and teachers concerns are at the forefront of union efforts. “I will continue to update our members on the progress and expect NEB to address it as an emergency,” the union official added.
