Bokoli Boys High School has burst into celebration after scripting a remarkable comeback in school sports after securing a spot in the semi-finals of the Western Region Secondary Schools Term Two Games volleyball competition — a feat the institution had not achieved in over a decade.

The Webuye west-based school defied expectations, edging out some of the region’s volleyball powerhouses to clinch a place in the final four. The surprise run has reignited school spirit and positioned Bokoli as a rising force in regional volleyball.

School Principal Joseph Mulongo hailed the team’s performance as “historic,” praising the students’ discipline and resilience throughout the tournament.

“For ten years we’ve been off the radar in regional volleyball, but this group of boys has changed that narrative,” said Mulongo. “They have made the school proud, and this is just the beginning. We’re coming back stronger next year — our eyes are firmly on the title.”

The Western Region Term Two Games, which concluded over the weekend, drew fierce competition from top-performing schools across the region in various disciplines including football, netball, and athletics.
