Mosop NGCDF bursaries to be released next week

The National Government Constituency Development Fund ( NGCDF ) bursaries for Mosop students,Nandi County , are set to be released next week, bringing relief to hundreds facing fee-related disruptions. Officials have assured a fair and transparent disbursement process.

Confirming the development, Mosop NGCDF Manager Charles Ruto said preparations for disbursing the funds are in the final stages.

“We have already received the funds, and the writing of cheques is currently underway. These funds play a critical role in supporting education.” he said.

Ruto further announced that this year’s bursary allocation had been increased, a move he said reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing access to education.

On infrastructure, Ruto revealed that the NGCDF office is working closely with the Ministry of Education to improve learning facilities in local schools.

“Improving infrastructure is essential to the smooth running of education, and we are actively collaborating with the Ministry to address these needs,” he said.

Parents and students in the region welcomed the announcement, saying the delay in disbursement had caused disruption in learning.

“The delay had really affected us, especially those with fee balances. We are happy the funds are finally coming,” said Mary Chepkorir, a parent from Kurgung.

Mercy Cheptoo, a Form Three student, added, “It’s a relief. I was worried I might be sent home again for school fees.”

The bursary release is expected to benefit hundreds of students across the constituency, with officials promising timely and transparent distribution.
