Kisumu County will play the host to the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Nyanza region Term II games scheduled to kick off from June 9-12.
KSSSA recently announced championship for winners in Soccer and other matches from the eight counties in the region setting the ground for the regional battles.
According to the Secretary Tom Odhiambo, the teams will convene in Kisumu Boys High School and other satellite venues starting from 9th- 12th this month for the Nyanza Regional Term II games.
“We have already conveyed the fixtures and invitation messages to the involved teams and hope that all events will go well as planned.” He said.
The schools that will compete in Soccer boys are Agai Secondary School, Kisumu Boys, St.Mary’s Yala, Karabok School, Anjeyo, and Rapogi both from Kisumu, Siaya, Homabay and Migori counties.

Despite of losing their coach Kennedy Ogendo as he celebrated his team successfully to defended their title, Sameta will leave Kisii highlands to the lake to quench their sports thirst as they will represent their County as the little known Gekendo will represent Nyamira in the regional soccer competitions.
The Secretary said that other earmarked centres to host the teams in Kisumu County include Kisumu Day,Kisumu Girls,Moi and Mamboleo stadia.
“We have made adequate preparations by decentralizing the venue to avoid congestion among teams and sports fans.” Said Odhiambo.
Kudho,Nyakach Jera, Kobala and Saye will be the Girls’ Soccer flag bearers from Kisumu,Homabay and Siaya respectively.
Other Girls’ teams to showcase their prowess in the regional championship include Mobamba from Kisii,Masosa from Nyamira and Rayner from Migori.
Nyanza Region director of eduction Lawrence Karuntimi, said he i satisfied with the preparations and wished all of the teams that will participate good luck.
