The Mount Kenya University, (MKU), Law student is fighting for his life after he was shot five times during the June 25, Gen-Z protest.
Mike Duncun, was shot five times along Kenyatta Avenue and is currently in critical condition at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
He was among the scores of young Kenyans participating in the nationwide demonstrations that turned deadly after initial peaceful scenes escalated into violence. He was rushed to KNH immediately after the shooting.

As he lay in pain, fellow protesters who accompanied him to the first aid caregivers offered words of encouragement, urging him to remain strong and hopeful.
“You will be fine; may God help you,” they reportedly said.
The government has condemned the violence, reiterating its call for peaceful demonstrations and warning against attacks on both civilians and law enforcement.
