Following reports of several teams fielding imposters during Term Two games, Makueni County, Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) Chairperson Johnstone Ndivo has issued a stern warning to coaches and school principals, urging them to put an end to the unethical practice.
Ndivo was speaking at Kalulini Secondary School in Kibwezi, where Term Two County Games are being held.
He noted that if any team is brought into the committee for having imposters, they will have no other option but to ban them for two years.

The chairman, who is also the principal of Matiliku Boys, added that recruiting players from outside or underage is a way of stifling talent for the deserving players.
“Let us give the deserving players their chance to perform and exploit them. We should not kill their talents,” Ndivo said.
He noted that even when scouting is being done, there is a need for fair competency and the right age.
