AIC Malivani Comprehensive School Principal Joshua Mutuse has expressed his concern that scrapping of teacher’s hardship allowance will only worsen the dire state of already affected teachers.

Speaking during the school AGM, Mutuse noted that if it happens, then class performance may go low thus affecting education.

“The allowances always encourage teachers to carry their duties well and perform better. Kindly don’t withdraw it,” Mutuse said

He added that teachers commit pay slips and use the money to ask for loans, if it’s scrapped many will suffer a lot.

Mutuse, however encouraged teachers to work hard for the benefit of the pupils. He called upon parents to support their children fully in education and making sure that they are very close to them to be able to open up incase they are faced by challenges.
