Rarieda Constituency National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) has issued bursary cheques worth Ksh 11.8 millionto to students in tertiary institutions.
Constituency fund accounts manager Kennedy Chacha disclosed that the bursary support will benefit over 900 tertiary students from the constituency studying in various technical institutes, teacher training colleges, and universities across the country.
According to Chacha, the NG-CDF has a clear data base of all the students who will continue to benefit from the support and do not need to send applications every year because their details had been captured previously.
“For Rarieda Constituency, we have kept the data of all our students in our secondary schools and colleges because they had applied before, we don’t need them to re-apply for bursary support since we already know their details and most importantly we keep tracking them in their colleges and secondary schools. The applications are only open to new students who are not on our database and we keep enrolling them for support,” Chacha clarified.
