Several students from Nova Pioneer School were this morning rushed for treatment after their school bus was involved in a grisly accident.
The accident happened at Sabaki, Mavoko sub-county area along the Nairobi-Mombasa road.
The bus driver, startled by a small car, lost control, veered off the road to avoid hitting other vehicles and plunged.

The incident was confirmed by Peter Mwalimu, the community policing officer in Sabaki.
Mwalimu told the media that the students sustained major and minor injuries.
“The accident happened near the Total petrol station. The bus driver lost control and veered off the road before plunging.
He said that the driver of the bus escaped immediately after the accident.
Police have begun investigating the incident. At the time of this report, the bus had not been towed from the scene.
