Vice Chair of Education Committee in Parliament Malulu Injendi dies

The country is now mourning following the passing of Malava Constituency Member of Parliament, Moses Malulu Injendi. MP Malulu today while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.

The Clerk of the National Assembly confirmed the news but has yet to issue an official statement.

Malulu served as the Vice Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education and Research.

He was an MP for the Malava Constituency and had been in office since 2013, spanning three terms in the 11th Parliament. His unwavering commitment and integrity made him a passionate advocate for his constituents. Tributes from fellow lawmakers, constituents, and leaders across the political spectrum have poured in.

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi extended his condolences to Injendi’s family, friends, and the people of Malava. He stated, “Mhesh has rested. Go well, Malulu. My condolences to the family and his constituents.”

ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale tweeted, “Hon. Injendi Malulu, a cool man. It is well.”

National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah mourned Malulu as a friend and colleague. “It is with heartfelt sympathy that we mourn a colleague and friend, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi.

His dedication to serving Malava and his unwavering commitment to uplifting his constituents inspired all who had the privilege of working alongside him in Parliament,” Ichung’wah said.

“I was honoured to serve with him and will always remember his passion, integrity, and tireless advocacy for the people. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. During this difficult time, my deepest condolences go to his family, loved ones, and the Malava community. May they find strength in the remarkable memories of his life and service.”
