Boost for ECDE in Kakamega as plans underway to build classrooms at Bondeni Primary

County Government of Kakamega in collaboration with the African Divine Church (ADC) is set to construct and equip a modern Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) facility at Bondeni Primary School.

Speaking during the ADC church service held at the school recently Governor Fernandes Barasa said that  to complement these efforts,  Lurambi  MP Bishop Titus Khamala has included the budget for the construction of the ECDE centre this year, adding that he will attend the official ground breaking ceremony.

During the event, leaders raised concern over a huge and deep valley within the school which could cause a disaster to students and has been a threat for 10 years.

The governor called upon the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Environment, Penina Mukabane and his counterpart for Public Works Patrick Kundu to fill up the valley as soon as possible.

During the event, the governor asked residents to turn up in large numbers and pick bursary forms from the ward administrators’ offices before January 17 deadline.

Bondeni Primary is among the few schools in Kakamega Municipality which has been left behind on infrastructure development.

Accompanied by MCAs and members of the County Executive Committee Members, he was honuored to join the church’s Kakamega cluster thanksgiving service at Bondeni presided over by Bishop John Chabuga.

The Bishop noted that since its inception in 1949, the African Divine Church has made remarkable strides, including significant contributions to Kenya’s education sector.

Additionally, the church has prioritized the provision of countywide bursaries to support students from low-income backgrounds.
