TSC Commissioner Timon Oyucho addressing the press.

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has called on teachers to mind their mental wellness with seriousness.

TSC Commissioner Timon Oyucho regretted that many members of the teaching profession suffer from mental challenges silently.

Oyucho urged them to take time and relax from time to time, ensuring a healthy work-life balance in order to have mental nourishment.

He was speaking in Kisumu during a fun day at the Jomo Kenyatta Sportsground where hundreds of teachers participated in a variety of games including tug of war, soccer and chess.

Oyucho said that TSC was in support of such activities to promote mental wellness, urging other regions to also organize similar events.
