Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana has pledged to complete all stalled school projects, particularly those initiated by his predecessors.

MP Ikana cited the Khayega, Ingolomosio, Shitsava, Shihuli and Kwirenyi Primary schools, where due to a myriad of issues, the projects had stalled.

“I have already mobilized funds and returned the contractor to Khayega Primary whose construction has been relaunched,” he said.

“I will be launching a new storey learning block at Ingolomosio Primary School in January to give it a facelift,” he added.

The MP claimed that he suspects the funds allocated towards the projects were mismanaged but he was intervening in the interest of his constituents.

Ikana said the storey buildings he had commissioned in nine other primary schools were on course and would be ready for use before schools reopen in January next year.

“My main objective is to transform Shinyalu through quality education and better infrastructure,” he said.

Ikana made the remarks when he launched the fresh grading of the Muchingu-Mukango-Iloro road in the constituency.
