MP hands over school administration block built through NGCDF

West Mugirango MP Steve Mogaka at Bondeka Secondary School in Nyamira County.

West Mugirango MP Steve Mogaka handed over an Administration Block at Bondeka Secondary School on Thursday that was built through funding from the NGCDF.

Addressing parents, teachers and students during the handover ceremony, the MP thanked the school for the patience they showed as they waited for the completion of the structure.

He attributed the delay to National Treasury’s snail’s pace of releasing funds to the constituencies.

“We are not the sole controllers of these funds so whenever there are delays you have to bear with us,” he said, assuring residents of his priority on education development as over three-quarters of secondary schools have received important infrastructure.

The MP revealed that the West Mugirango NGCDF spent Ksh20 million to reconstruct the administration block that hosts two offices for the principal and his deputy, staff room and accounts office.

Other blocks that were accomplished in the school include a modern boys dormitory and toilets for girls at a cost of 15 and 7 million shillings respectively.
