Muhoroni students joining varsity for high end courses receive full scholarships

A total of 41 students who are joining various universities across the country have received full scholarships to the tune of   Ksh1.2 million from Muhoroni NGCDF.

The students are first years and are admitted to study technical courses beginning this Academic year 2024/2025 that kicks off this August.

Speaking during the presentation of the cheques, the NGCDF Manager Sospeter Ngere on behalf of the Muhoroni Member of Parliament Onyango K’Oyoo said the students have been given the scholarships to study Law, Architecture, Medicine and Surgery, and Engineering.

He said all students, who are fully funded for the four years, have been allocated Ksh30,000 each for the first batch of the scholarship, revealing that the programme began in 2014.

He said a vocational institution will also be set up in the area in order to cater for those who do not qualify for university.

“It will be called Ahero Ndinya TVC in honour of an educationist from the area who was at one time the principal of the Kisumu Technical High School,” he said.
