Webuye East MP launches KSh80 million for schools infrastructure development

Webuye East Constituency Member of Parliament has today launched KSh80 million for schools infrastructure development.

Speaking at Constituency Development Fund offices in Webuye, the MP Martin Wanyonyi said the money will be used to improve Infrastructure in the schools with his constituency.

The MP told school head teachers and principals to work extra hard to produce good results in national exams.

“Am playing my part as MP and is upon you to make the constituency proud by producing good results,” remarked the lawmaker.

He further urged Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Mochugu to disburse capitation funds to schools before end of this financial year.

At the same time, Webuye East Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association chairperson Aggrey Ligame lauded the MP efforts to empower education sector in the constituency.

He noted that the schools heads’ association will work closely with the MP for development.

“Schools are going through various challenges and we appreciate our MP for chipping in,” said Ligame.
