Bungoma KNUT urges TSC to stop unnecessary transfer of teachers

Kenya National union of Teachers (KNUT) has asked Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to stop unnecessary transfers of teachers.

Bungoma East chapter union chairperson Alex Wafula said the transfers are affecting smooth learning of pupils.

Wafula who is also the head teacher at Kituni High school claimed that most schools in Bungoma East have been affected with the ongoing teachers’ transfers.

“Let TSC stop this unnecessary teachers transfers,” said the unionist.

Elsewhere, Webuye West Technical and Vocational College Principal Lilian Simali has urged the youths to embrace vocational institutions.

She said the vocational colleges will equip the students with technical skills.

Her sentiments come few days after President William Ruto officially inaugurated the college to offer technical skills.

The President also donated 100 computers to be used by students in the institution.
