Kisii County Police Commander Charles Keses has said that his officers are investigating the death of high teacher Duke Nyabaro whose body was found dangling from the ceiling of a weaker stall at Getembe estate at the outskirts of Kisii town.
“The Criminal Investigation report from our security officers indicate that the victim was strangled manually so we are investigating on human murder,” he said
The officer who spoke to Education News yesterday said that family members from Bonchari Constituency informed his office that their son was seen socialising with his friends in one of the hotels in Suneka town last Saturday before moving to Kisii town to meet other friends.
They never saw him alive again until Sunday morning April 7 when his body was discovered hanging in kiosk.
The informed the police who took the body to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for postmortem that revealed possible murder.
His relatives denounced possibility of suicide saying that the late Duke Nyabaro, 32, might have been killed somewhere and body dragged to the kiosk to conceal evidence.

“The body was dangling from the kiosk’s ceilings as legs touched the ground without any mud although it rained overnight,” said his uncle.
He narrated how the deceased mother died and how he struggled to raise the deceased.
“I took care of the boy and supported him in education through university,” said the uncle.
After his University education, the deceased taught at Nyambaria High School in Nyamira County, under Board of Management last year before being employed by the TSC and posted to a secondary School in Migori County.
His colleagues termed him a hardworking and sociable man whose side hustling was blogging.
“Apart from being a professional teacher, Duke was a keen analytical political blogger,” said a colleague.
His uncle said that the deceased had lately posted on his Facebook about his life being in danger claiming that some unidentified people were after his life.
Police report said that they have downloaded CCT footages from the joints that the deceased and his friends visited befAll Postsore he met his death.
Bonchari MP Dr Charles Onchoke eulogised Duke Nyavato as a friend who worked with him closely.
“He was my good friend and sometime back he helped me to do some work, the MP said.
Onchoke called for quick police investigation to have the suspects arraigned in court for justice to prevail.
