BREAKING NEWS: Two school children among dead in freak Narok mudslides

The terrifying scene of mudslides.

Four family members have died in mudslides in Torokiat market, Narok County, following the heavy rainfall during the night of April 8, 2024.

According to a report by the Ololulunga police station, Torokiat police post, a member of the public reported the demise of Benerd Keter, 35, Faith Keter (24) Brian Kibet (5) and Cherotich Keter aged 3 years, all from a single family, which was caused by mudslides due to the heavy rainfall in the area.

The two children were learners at Oltarakwai Primary School.

The police officers from Torokiat police post have visited the place where the effort of retrieving the bodies is in progress.

In April 20, 2020, a three-year old boy lost his life while four others escaped death narrowly after their houses submerged in mudslide at Pambanic area, Ololulunga Ward in Narok South Sub-county. The family of five were sleeping when the heavy rain pound the area causing the mudslide.
