Kisumu TSC Director promises to closely monitor performances of three schools

Kisumu TSC County Director Dr Samuel Marigat has announced that he will be monitoring three learning institutions in the county directly.

Dr Marigat said the learning institutions namely Bishop Abiero Secondary School, Nyakach Girls High School and Diemo Secondary School in future should become centres of excellence.

Speaking at Bishop Abiero Secondary in Kisumu Central Constituency during the Annual General Meeting, Marigat said there are a number of schools within the county which need advisers to motivate both students and teachers.

He added that students who are perceived to be poor or slow learners also end up doing very well.

The director said he has in the past during his teaching experience worked with average students who have ended up being top students.

Dr Marigat said that no student is stupid adding that what matters in the willingness of learners to take instructions.

He said the three learning institutions which he has adopted should focus on registering better performances at the end of the year.

The chief executive officer of the Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu Jane Wanyama who was the chief guest during advised parents to support learning institutions.

Wanyama said parents play a major role in the lives of the students.

School Principal Kennedy Oguta lauded Kisumu Central Member Of Parliament Dr Joshua Oron for the assistance accorded to the learning institution.

Oguta revealed that the MP will through the NG-CDF erect a KSh 1 million laboratory at the school.

He said a number of learners have also benefited from the same venture.

Dr Marigat praised Oguta for his progressive strides during the short time he has been at the school.
