The Cabinet Secretary for Road and Transport Kipchumba Murkomen on April 3 handed over a new bus to Liter Girls High school in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The CS through his X- account, confirm handing over of the bus to school.

“On my way to Bungoma to inspect roads and other transport infrastructure, I stopped by Liter Girls High School to hand over a new bus,” the tweet reads.
The CS added that the school was constructed by the Government after it was washed away by floods. The bus will will be used for academic excursions and sports.

Liter Girls High school was swept away by floods in April 18, 2020, completely destroyed and left over 600 girls with nowhere to learn.

The Government through the Ministry of Education provided KSh100 million for the construction of the school. This brought the school back to life in June 2023 after the completion of infrastructure construction.
