Song and dance marks arrival of new Sironga Girls principal

Jane Nyanumba is the new Sironga Girls Principal.

Song and dance marked a thrilling welcome for new Sironga Girls High School Chief Principal Jane Nyanumba, who replaces Eva Odhiambo who has been shifted to Kisumu Girls High School.

Odhiambo was also given the same kind of joyous reception at her new station, where she shed tears of joy as the students overwhelmed her.

The new Sironga principal has been heading Tombe Girls since 2015 and has seen the school continuously improve. The mean score she left behind was 7.1 in the 2023 KCSE. A total of 167 candidates out of the registered 248 attained university entry grade. The mean score had dropped from 9.2 recorded in the 2022 KCSE exams.

This somehow contrasts with the 8.02 recorded in the same exam by her current station, which was an improvement from 7.2 the previous year.

She has to also keep up the quality grades, seeing that seven girls had an A- mean grade and a total of 461 attained entrance to university.

Sironga Girls has over 1500 students.
