Youth Affairs , Sports and Creative Economy Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ababu Namwamba has pledged to continue supporting talent in sport in basic learning institutions and Technical and Vocational Education and Training colleges ( TVET).
Addressing the press after an inspection tour of the Masinde Muliro Stadium in Kanduyi Constituency, the CS said the government has worked hard to expose learners to income generating opportunities through co-curricular activities.
According to Namwamba, the stadium is expected to host about 20,000 fans once completed, revealing plans to also develop the Chemoge High Altitude Training Ground for young athletes.
Among other leaders present included Bungoma County Deputy Governor Jenipher Mbatiany ,County Commissioner Thomas Sankei, and CECM for Youth Affairs and Sports in Bungoma County Agnes Wachie.
