Tenwek Boys’ 2023 KCSE mean score improves to 9.34

Tenwek Boys High School has recorded a mean score of 9.34 in the 2023 KCSE examinations, an improvement from 8.75 scored last year.

The national school had a direct university entry of 95.98 percent, where 382 out of 398 candidates scored C+ and above.

The school Chief Principal Mutali Chesebe attributed the school’s stellar performance to good teamwork among students, teachers, parents, BoM, religious institutions and leaders.

Speaking during the release of the 2023 KCSE exams results on Monday, KNEC CEO David Njengere indicated that 1,216 candidates scored grade A compared to 1,146 last year.

He added that the total number of candidates who sat for the examinations nationally was 903,260 where those who qualified to join the university stood at 201,133.
