Motorists urged to observe road safety measures as schools reopen

Sosiot Police Station

Sosiot Police Station Base Inspector Patrick Leweri has asked motorists to observe road safety and traffic regulations as schools reopen.

Leweri warned them against carrying excess passengers to take advantage of students heading to school in large numbers.

“Be warned that the law will not spare anyone found flouting traffic regulations, be it the driver or a passenger,” he said.

Speaking to the press in his office, Leweri disclosed that they have embarked on an operation to weed out unroadworthy vehicles and at the same time educate the public on road safety measures.

In collaboration with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), they mounted roadblocks along the Kericho-Kisumu and Kericho-Sondu highways.
