A man who was found red-handed in a sexual act with a school girl in his rental house has been arrested and remanded at Gucha Sub-County in Kisii County.
Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kases confirmed the arrest saying that the girl who was taken to hospital for check-up and later the culprit was presented to Ogembo Police Station to record a statement.
He lauded the residents for reporting such suspects and other criminals to his office adding that security issues were a collective responsibility between the community and Government officers charged with security matters.
Things unfolded when the landlord saw his tenant walked into his house accompanied by a teenager and quickly locked his house from inside. He later knocked on the door to check on what was going on but the man allegedly refused to open it.
That is when he swiftly alerted his fellow tenants who turned up in large numbers to smoke out the culprit. The man and the innocent-looking teenager were whisked out found half-naked
They locked the door from outside and alerted the parents of the errant girl to come and identify their daughter.
The furious father wanted to beat up his daughter but was restrained by the crowd.
She was speaking at Omoringamu shopping centre where the incident took place, Nyansakia Location Chief Mrs Josephine Ondara warned residents luring school girls into sex of severe consequences. She said they will be arrested and arrigned in court for violating children’s rights.
